Financial Aid through ISE
ISE strives to make foreign travel accessible to all students. One way they do that is by offering financial aid. In 2015, they provided $53,400 in financial aid and the average grant was $542.
ISE’s financial aid is based on student financial need. Students whose families have a household income of $50,000 or less are eligible. The minimum award is 5% of the program cost and the maximum is 30% of the program cost.
In order to be considered for aid, students must be registered for the trip and postmark their complete Financial Aid application no later than November 1, 2015. Grant awards will be calculated and communicated during the month of November.
The following documents will need to be submitted:
1. The Financial Aid Application
2. A Financial Aid Recommendation Form filled out by Frau Lillskau (I will give this back to you so that you can mail the entire packet together)
3. A personal essay (one page, double spaced) explaining why learning German is important to connect with culture
4. A photocopy of your parents’ last Federal Income Tax Return that shows their adjusted gross income, or other proof-of-income documents if no IRS filing was submitted.
5.
The Financial Aid Application can be found here: http://www.isemn.org/assets/documents/Forms/ise-2016-financial-aid-application.pdf
